Zombie Ryan Colour

Tried some non-gradient colour for this. I think it turned out well. What I did was use a new layer beneath the lines for the colour. Perhaps some layer masking would result in a cleaner image. I guess I'm still learning to colour inside the lines!

MEC Cycle Tour

Went on a 4 night cycle tour around Vancouver Island with some work pals. Took one of the loaner prototypes of the bikes MEC will be carrying this fall. I chose the Cote, something i saw as a cycle cross / touring bike and it was a dreamy ride.
Also this was my first ever cycle tour and it got me hooked. Living in the saddle can make you get a bit silly, but it's worth it for the views and the interaction with locals.
Had a blast. Watched the sunrise. Drank beer. Ate ice cream. Swam in the cold September ocean.

Digital Purple

Thinking about Kenny Rockwell's recent post about digital colour capture. Basically he says purple is a tough color for digital cameras to reproduce. Went looking for some purple to shots and found this tea bag and beet juice shot.
