My good fortune continues to bring me in contact with talented young creative people of all stripes and types, multi-faceted multi-talented HAMU artists, people working in new digital medium like facebook, musicians in underground and avante garde genres, and photographers capturing the spirit of the now. One of those photographers of the now is Bahar Habibi. I worked with Bahar in a non-creative context in 2012 & 2013 but never realized how much her work spoke to me until recently. So here's a few images from Bahar Habibi's series "Whispers will become eternal"

Siblings Portraits

Brothers #1, 2011

Took this portrait of Ed Pien and his brother Dave when they were visiting Vancouver late last month. We had dinner at The Reef on Main St. and dessert at Sweet Revenge also on Main. I wanted to do a quick picture of them in "Golden Hour" sunlight, but we ate for too long and buildings got in the way of the sunset. So I chose this very attractive backdrop and took a shot anyways. Thanks Dave and Ed!
I would love to do more sibling portraits. Got a sibling and want a portrait? Email me.

Wednesday

Colour Printing

Some prints I made in Colour Printing at Langara College, spring 2010.
It looks as though this box of paper had expired before I used it as the borders are... off-white. I don't mind it though, or I've accepted it's flaws, maybe it's even a little bit anti-aesthetic. :?)

Not a horror novel. Oh well. This could also be called Tarzan of the Lomo, or A Lomo of Mars.
